Wow! I had very little expectation from this wine but... I was totally wrong: perfectly balanced with well controlled acidity and the right amount of fruit flavor.

The nose is plum, funk, mushroom, loads of earth and rocks, tobacco, and a whiff of lavender. The tannins have started to relent revealing more balance and freshness as it recedes. The purity of the aromas has deepened, with the flavors following along. Great value at about $16 from this lesser known part of Castilla Y Leon. 🇪🇸 — 11 years ago
