Always fun but perhaps a bit youthful at the moment. Great cocktail wine. — 5 years ago
Well balanced lovely wine - Croatian wine is becoming one of my faves! — 6 years ago
Nice flavor, very crisp. And let's be real. . . I bought because if the cool label — 7 years ago
Funky reductive Riesling. Got a slight fizz to it and is just magic! — 8 years ago
Croatia might not be the first thing that comes up when you think about good wine, but it's definitely more than capable of producing great wines. Plavac Mali is closely related to Primitivo planted right across the Adriatic sea. Medium bodied with massive tannins even after 5 years in the bottle. Watermelon, dark fruits, herbs, and spices. Looks like it has a great ageing potential. — 8 years ago
A great example/profile of the local crljenak (pronounced tsir-lyeh-knuck) grape done well. A solid balance of tannins and dark cherries. When it’s high quality like this, I like more that it’s Zin offspring. Highly recommend! — 4 years ago
Very good wine, rich and powerful. — 5 years ago
Beautifully aged, with flavours of prune and kirsch. With 15% of alcohol content it could almost be called a fortified wine, it definitely tastes like port wine — 6 years ago
Loved this wine. Impossible to find in the states :( — 7 years ago
Pleasantly different wine for me. Rose petal nose, dark sweet plum and black cherry flavor. Age smoothed the tannins a lot, but the acid and profile is good.
Paired for dinner of Greek blood orange and tomato chicken. Like I'm in the Adriatic now! — 8 years ago
Very interesting white, Posip. The closest analogue would be Torrontes.
Dry white wine that is strangely seductive, every sip entertains your palate and even your lips just like a kiss. Slightly heavier body and minimal fruit with grapefruit, pear, and green apple. Lovely Croatian creation;-) — 9 years ago
Fantastic! Accompanied with octopus, a real treat! — 5 years ago
Open in the bottle for 30 minutes. Dark purple color. Nose contains oak, vanilla, and subtle spice. Wine reminds me of those we had in Mallorca but with a better, velvety texture. Paired perfectly with the Chateaubriand! Was so great we made a reservation for Thursday night! Medium finish. Great QPR and local recommendation by the restaurant staff! Atmosphere and scenery definitely influenced the overall experience, but that’s how it’s supposed to be!! — 5 years ago
Delicious! Very smooth, more dry than sweet. I found it just perfect for your every day glass of wine. — 6 years ago
Unexpectedly really pleasant. Love it! — 7 years ago
Not knowing much about Croatian wine, we asked the advice of our waiter who's knowledge clearly exceeded the requirements of the majority of his job. A beautiful crisp, clean wine with a great balance of dry vs. fruit. — 8 years ago
Great rosé - not too sweet and very clean and fresh — 8 years ago
