Deep gold. Big nose of red apple and white peach. Mouth-filling body and medium plus acidity. Rich palate of red apples, peach, hint of slate. Very rich for a Kabinett; felt more typical of the Mosel Spätlesen I get. Still very good value. Sausage/Schnitzel dishes and fresh fruit salad are excellent matches. — 8 years ago
Fresh clean pure. Perfect accompaniment to cakes, pastries and fruit selection from SD's own Extraordinary Desserts. Big thanks to @Dan Blackwell . — 8 years ago

What a treat. The '06 is showing beautifully — 10 years ago
Apple, citrus, tarragon on the nose. Firm, wonderful acidity balances small residual sugar and long mineral finish. #Mosel #Riesling — 10 years ago

Simple, straight forward, very drinkable — 8 years ago
Intensely fresh green apple, searing acidity. Not a cocktail wine, this fresh, youthful sipper was made for food, ideally a curry. — 8 years ago
Fine example off the skills belonging to Jörg Thanisch, great flavours — 9 years ago
A little sweet as the acid has faded with age. — 9 years ago
Big swing from high acidity to round and sweet. — 9 years ago
Great balance in this auslese, gold coloured. Honey and citrus, vibrant and crisp. But also richness and a long taste. Well done Jörg — 10 years ago
6 years old. Slightly Petroleum. Very nice and mineralic! — 10 years ago
