Bought this on the recommendation of one of the beer guys at Dusty's Cellar, this is a good (but in my opinion not great) belgian ale. I will say that it improved substantially with some air time, as well as raising the temp to just below room temperature. Interesting spice components, but I found the finish a little astringent (something that also improved with time). — 10 years ago

The nose reminds me of a slice of Hideaway Bakery's Potato Rustica bread just slightly toasted, or maybe that's just the butterscotch melting in my pocket. Either way, it's clean and mellow but quite rotund. Pairs well with a garlicky pasta late lunch in the fall. — 10 years ago
