Really good loire cab franc. It was a bit wound up, particularly the nose, but very enjoyable still. This is a riper expression with very pure fruit and lifted floral aromas. No bell pepper. — 10 years ago

From split opened half hour before consumption. Earth, red fruit, and a hint of funk. Smooth tannins; searing acidity. Probably could use another five years to achieve better balance. — 8 years ago
A great mixture of zippy acidity and black cherry fruit, with candy-like notes of licorice and red licorice, tea, prickly black pepper and exotic spice, and some wild grassy herbs. Funky and barnyardy on the nose. Light and easy drinking with very little bitterness or tannic influence while still having LOTS of individual character. Fun! Gets a bit sweeter after a two hour decant. — 9 years ago
This producer can lay down some Givry! 2013 has slightly tarter, more red cherry fruits and a little less barnyard than its predecessor, but what a complete intricate wine. — 10 years ago

Spicy touch to your larynx. Almost feels like you're swallowing a spoonful of frosted flakes but forgot to chew them all so they're getting lodged in your throat. Tannins are present and boisterous. Acidity could be a little higher but I'll respectively give this a medium plus rating. Should be accompanied by a healthy amount of horse meat marinated in calf fat. High quality cork. — 11 years ago
