Leather, cured meat, some fruit on the nose. Dark fruit, black currant, minerality, pepper, musk, well structured leathery tannins, medium finish. — 10 years ago
Appellation Saint-Emilion Gran Cru Contrôlée 2006, 13%. Bottle tasted in September 2014. At first a was a bit worried because the cork was very wet and not in very good conditions, but I poured half a glass and I left the bottle to breathe for a couple of hours. The wine was then quite beautiful, with a oaky nose slightly smoky, ripe dark red fruits, plum marmalade and nuts too. Very smooth and pleasant in the mouth, was paired with aged french cheese. — 10 years ago
It's a wine meant to be paired with foie gras and can be had as a desert wine. It's found mainly in the Rhone-Alps region and surrounding regions. — 10 years ago

Surprenant je ne connaissais pas le Sinsault, et ajouté au grenache, syrah et cabernet c'est vraiment pas mal — 11 years ago

Big, bright red fruit flavors, especially dark cherry. Smoky aroma, and a hint of toast. Very nice.

I was worried about this but after about an hour it came into its own. More blue cheese, less tobacco than the Pichon Lalande, with nice lingering acidity. — 9 years ago
