Beautiful Syrah! Lots of different types of layers on the nose and palate. Spice, hint of earth and bright fresh berries on the nose. Palate is full of character and life, with a smooth finish. Thanks @Jake Perez ! — 10 years ago

Best Australian Shiraz — 12 years ago
Biodynamic single-vineyard wine. Estate grown Shiraz with a touch of Viognier.
Its smokiness surrounds aromas of anise and cedary oak with blackberries. It's meaty with a hint of animality, cinnamon and bacon strip. — 12 years ago
Good for a Pinot — 13 years ago
V17. Pretty good... opaque color. Smokey nose. Substantial black cherry fruit. Black pepper, chocolate and earthy finish. Nicely balanced . — 5 years ago
A good Pinot.

Elegant oaky scent, light body, semi-structured, silky tanning. 2013 vintage. — 10 years ago
Perfect drop for open that bottle night! The fruit still vibrant and this wine has years in it yet! Superb — 10 years ago
Juicy black fruit with a savory bacon core, texture up the wazoo man, good juice. — 11 years ago
Incredible gem of a find & perennial cellar favorite — 12 years ago
A Michel chapoutier wine imported direct by country vintners. A cool climate Syrah from Australia. — 13 years ago
Don’t know how this one escaped my attention for so long, but I get why it’s so well loved. Ridiculous QPR. At the risk of both revealing my ignorance and offending everyone, I reckon this is the drink Stanley Dry White cask (a seminal drop in my existence, and fellow Australian cheapo icon) aspires to be. Whistle-clean citrusy drinker with intensity right round the edges. Cellaring a few of these from now on. — 6 years ago

25 years and still going strong We miss you Trev not the same since we lost you — 8 years ago
Perfumed berries on the nose. Light berries (raspberry, strawberry) come to the fore in a gentle way but with enough structure and length ensuring the flavour doesn't dissipate. Really nice. — 10 years ago
Apple from the white and berry from the red. Tastes like an impossibly sweet shiraz. — 10 years ago
Barrel fermented! Pair with crab or lobster. Beautiful! — 11 years ago
Very Northern Rhone on nose and palate. The white pepper trademark of Craiglee is tempered with age to be merely spicy. This is the complete antithesis of a Barossa or McLaren Vale blockbuster. Lacked some palate weight - more structured like a Pinot Noir. Some licorice notes. No need for further cellaring. 17.5+ — 11 years ago
Vinho Fantástico da Austrália. Shiraz — 12 years ago
Truly, a Syrah not Shiraz from Australia. Pretty, restrained- not overly floral or jammy. Only outdone by Gary's Healesville Syrah- which is a feminine beast. — 13 years ago

Good mid palate weight and purity. Red sweet raspberries get swamped in grippy acid and savoury notes. excellent balance. Good but not great p/q — 5 years ago
