I don't normally like white wine that much but this is incredibly smooth. Not too sweet, not too acidic. — 10 years ago
Echoing other comments: smooth and mellow. — 10 years ago
Cellared over two years! — 12 years ago
Quite powerful fruit and acidity. Aged well, lots of sediment required decanting. Some funk on the first night, gone on the second. Good, but not as good as the Paso Robles Syrah of previous years.
Winemaker's comment: Deep & dark. Classic Syrah bouquet w/ bright, spicy flavors. Rich & complex, fine finish. Unfined/unfiltered. Bottled May 2004. — 10 years ago
Pretty great lunchtime treat! — 10 years ago
Love Byington Sauvignon Blanc. It's a nice medium-bodied wine that can be paired with many meals and still hold its own. — 10 years ago
Oily aromas of tinned apricots and lychee. Classic body, ripe and a tad boozy, as I oft like Gewürz to be. 2012. One of the better Cali examples I've had. — 10 years ago
2011 vintage. Light grapefruit, flowers — 11 years ago
Big fruit dialed back by welcome acidity. Still holding up well. Good tannins in the background. Not much heat from the booze. — 10 years ago
CT gives it an 88, but it's a 90+ in my book! — 10 years ago
Excellent Zinfandel that I drank while in Big Sur in 2013 at Ventana Inn & Spa. Delicious! — 10 years ago
Best if the Ventana's Pinot Noir. Single Vineyard, Estate Grown fruity and light. 14.5% alc. — 10 years ago
