Un vino excelente

Speris began working as vine growers in Valpolicella seven generations ago. Deep Ruby with aromas of dried berry fruits and sweet smoky spices. On the palate flavors of ripe plum and sweet berries with cacao, spice and fig flavors. Fine tannins, long complex rich finish ending with fruit, tobacco and earthy notes, good structure. Will continued to get better with age, good now. Sustainable. — 4 months ago

Made from Corvina, Rondinella and Negrara grapes, Deep Ruby with aromas of sweet dried berry fruits and pepper spice. On the palate ripe blackberry, currants and sweet cherry with complex spice. Well balanced with acidity and alcohol, full-body with soft tannins on long finish. Nice value. — 3 years ago
Slightly drier, lighter from the 2014 vintage if I recall correctly. Some dried pepper and dried cranberries notes on the nose. — 5 years ago

Great with a roast dinner — 11 years ago
Nose like a 1980’s on palate like 2000’s even after opening (kept in bottle) for a day. Once poured out the glass the wine mellow down quite quickly. Drank it at Suinsom Val Gardena — 3 months ago

Coming back to this wine a year and a half after I first rated it...still love it. Nice hints of fruit and exceptionally drinkable. Will continue to stock it as a house red — 5 years ago
Great amarone, and actually not overpowering or overpowered. Had with steak at Chicago cut. — 8 years ago

Rich yet savoury, with great depth & purity. Freshness. Precision. Spicy fullness with amazing drinkability.
Pure cherry, kirsch & amaretto, some leather, a bit of undergrowth & mushroom,
Surprisingly tannic on the palate - grupy, juicy fresh. Zippy acidity, cherry freshness, savoury purity. Delicious, complex, quite profound. Amazing wine. — 3 months ago
