Love ChP when it’s got some age on it. (1998) Totally different beast and this was spicy velvet. — 7 years ago
Very smooth with lots of berry. Good table wine for dinner — 7 years ago
One of my favorites, smooth and full bodied, off dry — 8 years ago
Part of a 94 Cal Cab horizontal; dark ruby red; nice Cab perfume of rich berry fruit, wood, and leather; great velvet structure; in a good drinking window right now — 9 years ago
2003 and delicious, 30 min decant and luscious velvet on the tongue, plum, subtle oak, cedar, chocolate covered cherries. — 10 years ago

Another great Classic Wine Happy Hour in the books! Always a treat to have a designated day each month where guys can pull out some unique bottles!
Thanks @Will Adams for opening this! Gorgeous juice. A nod to how Caymus used to operate. Velvet like. Blue and blackberries, vanilla, cocoa, espresso. — 8 years ago
Dark and brooding tawny purple, opaque. Killer nose of smoked meat, bacon, white pepper, red plums and stone. Rich velvet texture in the mouth. Coats the palate. Performing very well right now. — 9 years ago
Easy. Smells okay. But it's not. Smooth. Dark fruit — 9 years ago
Baby Velvet Glove. Very drinkable. #troby60th — 10 years ago
Raspberry chocolate. Velvet on the tongue. Medium finish. — 10 years ago
I love this red wine. To me, it goes well with maybe chili or taco salad. — 13 years ago
Slightly over extracted and deeply concentrated, not something I usually enjoy much, but this is different. Aroma of black and blue fruits, dark chocolate, espresso that carry through the palate. Big and powerful in a velvet glove - wait, MollyDooker does have a bottle called Velvet Glove! The 16.5% abv was not noticeable. Immensely enjoyable. — 6 years ago
The smoothest Pinot I’ve ever had - like velvet — 7 years ago
Liquid velvet. Probably the most drinkable wine I have had in years. — 8 years ago
Deep garnet with amber rims, almost opaque. A little darker compared to the 82 CB next to it. Great old Bordeaux nose. Black fruit, pencil lead, plus some light notes of wood. Chewy in the mouth at first but over the night this goes to a velvet and silky place. The WOTN for me. Quieted down at the end of the night but gave us huge enjoyment, clearly outshining the 47 and 82 served with it. Tasting all these blind and then side by side over 4 hours is pretty awesome. — 8 years ago
