A very beautiful wine from a difficult vintage - long, wet spring; short, hot spring and botrytis in even some cooler coastal vineyards. Bright, dark currant/cranberry and white pepper. As it opens, mid-palate brings the more heady meaty character. Nice job, Vanessa! — 12 years ago
