Made from Gerwurtztraminer, Riesling and Malvasia-Fina. The Gerwurt is noticeable on the nose but the Malvasia adds complexity and depth which make this a fun and intriguing wine. — 9 years ago

I'm proud to be the very first one tagging this baco. A great surprise! What a sharp long wine, vigorous acidity, citron and aged fruits ... Surely over 80 years! Grapes were unknown to me, but very exotic, specially Codega de Larinho. From a non fashion region in Portugal, Tras-os-Montes, I invite courageous ppl to go for it! — 10 years ago

Concentrated wild berries and raspberry, in a wine very well structured and with medium + acidity. Full bodied and still showing signs of youth. Will age very well. — 9 years ago
A positive surprise. Probably their best red ever. Round tannins, a bit low in acidity, velvety with a lot of dark ripe fruits. — 10 years ago

Portuguese wine tasting at D'Canter. Smell: more ripe fruit than dry fruit; cherry, black plum. Big fruit, higher alcohol, fresher and younger. Don't need to age it as much higher, easy to drink on its own. Very nice w the rosemary cheese. Nice and light. — 9 years ago
Um vinho tinto do Douro muito agravel que deve ser bebido com uma cabidela de lampreia ou de pica no chão. Se preferiem com enchidos de Trás os Montes — 10 years ago
Santa Valha Red Wine from Portugal. 2011. Nice violet color. Very strong soil/mushroom on the nose. Medium acidity. Dry. Alcohol. Berries and sour apple. There's certain brightness in the taste. Sunny flavor? Mineral on the finish. Complex wine. Very unique encounter. That's why you cannot stop trying new wines. — 10 years ago
