Budget friendly Cru Beaujolais (Brouilly). Vivid light ruby color. Intense nose of earth, smoke, purple flowers, wet stones and red berries. Just a touch of Brett. Pallet is full of lush and juicy red and blue fruit. Hint of baking spices. Gentle texture and extremely soft tannins. Bright! — 4 years ago

Glad I got a case. Excellent — 7 years ago
This is really rich voluptuous stuff. It’s low dosage but it’s not minerals on steroids. There is beautiful pear with light ginger here. Very balanced. Perfect for an appertif but would play well with lots of foods. He’s a terroir guy and it shows. — 8 years ago

Terra orca is right! The earth is coming at me and I’m seeing red. But not the red of fury, the red of passion, the red of pleasure, and the red of desire. One sip of this and desire for the pleasure of passion from this wine endures. The palate parties with minerals. — 4 years ago
Well that might the best $24 I spent. Couldn’t pass up a late vintage release. — 4 years ago
HWT - very nice red and enjoyed with a spicy red sauce - but if it’s $105 then 2x as much as I’d pay. — 5 years ago
Just starting to drink well and should improve and hold steady for the next decade. Is St. Joseph the Gigondas the Northern Rhone? A little under the radar, can deliver tremendous pleasure and value and at the same time, can be frustratingly inconsistent. — 5 years ago
Had some interesting moments but a bit disjointed. Peeling layers you hit nice fruit and flowers with the occasional astringent harsh dead tobacco leaf. Weird but with personality. Maybe a few years will help it come together. Drank over three nights. — 5 years ago
Tasty and refined. — 6 years ago
Solera vintages: 2005-2013, Dégorgement: 01/2016, Dosage: 0-4g/l, All 7 Cépage, this is so interesting, screaming acidity, beautiful development & layers of complexity, outstanding wine. — 9 years ago
Can't get enough of this elegant wine! — 10 years ago
2013 vintage. Primary fruit evident. Some bread notes. Stone fruits. Quite round. Acidity less noticeable. But bitter on finish. Pretty good. — 11 years ago

2020 vintage. Decent value for Cornas. Big body. Lots of smoke and fruit with structure but not as much as Cornas usually invoices for. Hyperactive and needs to relax somewhat. Maybe in 3-5 years? Has 9.3 potential in there somewhere. 3.6.24. — 2 years ago
