masciarelli and valentini - the two supreme abruzzo vineries everybody else in the region has to compete with. for a reason i may add!

powerful and yet charming red, nose reminds me slightly of amarone though 2006 here has certainly less oxidative touch and feel than the 2004, fantastic fresh nose, hints of animalic attitude with impressive lenght. always underrated.
