Great, zippy wine! Beautiful color. Lots of acid. Enjoyed with Alanna and Mom, shrimp eggplant stacks and roasted veg. Would be a great sushi wine though. — 5 years ago
Dinner with ali and Evan at Almond in NYC — 7 years ago
One of my favorite dinners was on the menu here at Chez Skip - cassoulet! And my knowledge of wine pairing is as sophisticated as a toddler eating spaghetti, I said to myself - hey I am eating French food and I like this French wine, so hey why not? And that was that. But as wine can be, it evoked its memory of when I had it first. I remember sitting out in the patio and being impressed with it. I thought to myself I could really enjoy French wines, but as history has shown, that was clearly a short lived notion.
Knowing it had been some time, I had an odd feeling, so I checked my Delectable history. Indeed, this was the very first wine I had rated!
So, to my friends, do you remember your first wine on here? Was it anything memorable? @philip Angino @Martin A. At Zucca, London. 2011 vintage with Evan. 2012 vintage with Mike and Besse. — 10 years ago
2nd wine from Evan Lewendowski we have enjoyed, just as great as the first. Had for Alanna’s birthday at Bar Mezzana, so happy they had this wine!! Incredible contrast from Idlewild Cortese. Same grapes, same vineyard, polar opposite wines. — 5 years ago
Floral and chenin-y and cider-y and a bizarre af riesling but super nice — 6 years ago
Opened it one day and it was so tight I left it for 2nd day. Dark, concentrated briary black fruit. Love it! — 7 years ago
The Talking Bull — 7 years ago
Laser beam to my Chardonnay pleasure center. Such focused orchard fruit, flint and sappiness , with a hint of salinity. Reductive (surprise!) upon opening, much more giving with a couple hours in the decanter. Every time I question the QPR of white Burgundy, Roulot reels me back in. Thanks, @Evan Vallee. I need a winning lotto ticket or something... — 8 years ago
Evan loves this; too sweet for me. — 8 years ago
This one has rounded out in bottle and is drinking really well right now, recommend to seek out and allocation @Evan Frazier — 9 years ago
This is our go to favorites. A great balance of flavor and spirits. Very easy to drink. — 10 years ago
Unfortunately what's really in the bottle is Leblon Cachaça infused with rue herb. — 11 years ago
Funky skin contact muscadet. Has a tangy minerality, with notes of ripe pear and cantaloupe. — 5 years ago
Apple, pear, lemon. Bright acidity and bubbles. Hits the spot on a hot day. — 6 years ago
Perfect for Super Bowl watching!! 2014 — 6 years ago
Probably the best natural white I've had: a little funky but still super drinkable, nice skin contact and all that, too. — 7 years ago
Bonded EW. Rich and flavorful with a touch of sweetness. Hardly reveals its alcohol at all, even at 100 proof. A steal for the $$ and does just fine on the rocks. — 8 years ago
I say fennel, @Evan Hansen says no, but there is some fennel. Fennel and almost ripe tropical fruit. — 9 years ago
Long overdue vacation, enjoying a healthy pour with my favorite wife — 9 years ago
