Ah, the Rocks at Milton-Freewater produce such remarkable and distinctive fruit. Morgan Lee’s take on the Stoney Vine Syrah is outstanding. Earthy, gamey, succulent, dark and full stone fruit (plum) that just keeps going. This is good for another 5 years I think. — 6 years ago
Opened up after a few hrs in glass and had dark cherries but not sweet — 7 years ago
Big hype about this beer, as is "Hop Slam" this one much easy to get, in fact, in CA you can get in many places all the time, price is reasonable too, just check the bottled or canned on dates since it travels far, solid IPA, really nothing new or different, just done very well in the style, if you like your IPA's balanced between malt and hops, like Dogfish then this is perfect fit you, not for me, I prefer the hops be the "Show" but I am not knocking the Beer for that, just I think it is a little over rated — 8 years ago
Dark color with green pepper full fruit and saddle leather. Acid a bit dominating. Will give it a year or two. — 8 years ago

Drank after decanting for few hours. Lot of alcohol taste but good with the pork roast we had. This one has lost some of it's fruit. Still solid. — 6 years ago

Amazing wine......drinking with Rob K who just got promoted (again) to Full Prof (yes the spelling of Full is correct).....at this rate he will be Dean of the Faculty by August. Wine is a wild mixture of petroleum, chocolate, toffee, blueberrys.......everlasting finish......for a 2002 this thing is hitting its prime right now — 7 years ago
Goes well with a nice pasta or salad in the afternoon with a mild taste and slight bite afterwards. — 8 years ago

Just a special experience. The nose was powerful and dynamic evolving beautifully over 30 minutes. A smokey phase, a pine phase, and a strong floral phase. The palate was balanced and smooth. The fruit was dead but resembled fruit leather. Two bottles opened, one had grip left, the other didn't. #moutonrothschild #grandcruclassé #2ndgrowth #bordeaux #pauillac #1928 #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
Just hitting its stride. Much more well integrated than I last tasted two years ago. — 8 years ago
Always love this wine. This vintage seems more fruit forward than other vintages with a lot of apple flavor. — 9 years ago

Not much left on the nose - a little whiff of pomegranate. Super savory and saline notes on the palate. Interesting. — 4 years ago
