One of my favor producers of CA Chardonnay. Bright, no ML, great balance, delicious... — 5 years ago
Had a 2nd time within a week. Consistent with my first tasting. Very nice Cab with the usual suspect appeal. Would make someone a nice pairing. — 6 years ago
Recently purchased by Bill Foley of Foley Family Wines, continuing traditions of Fred Furth who founded Chalk Hill in 1972, which encompasses 280 acres of vineyards. A blend of 84% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Sauvignon Gris and 6% Sauvignon Musque, the latter 2 adding an interesting dynamic to the wine and distinctive aromas. One of the few SB's to see some oak giving this wine complexity. Peach, herb and earthy tones, well balanced with acidity, smooth yet robust on a lingering finish ending with citrus notes. — 7 years ago
Soft, silky mouthfeel, black fruit, and nice touch of acidity — 8 years ago
With homemade pesto and fresh garbanzos. — 8 years ago
This is embarrassing - I admit I'm not a big Port fan! But I now realise I adore the Tawny variety! Right that's out of the way, this is seriously good stuff, pronounced, woody, toffeed, caramel, dried fruits and nutty, with the addition of dried figs and raisins coming forth on the palate. Sweet with nice acidity but seriously powerful with 21% abv — 9 years ago
Plum, blackberry, candy apple, fig newtons, and insects on the nose, very soft tannins, nicely balanced heat and acidity. Lingering finish. Nice. — 9 years ago
Great red blend with strong berry flavors — 9 years ago

I’m not usually one to be a Chardonnay advocate but this one was a solid choice to pair with an overconsumption of pork dumplings. Not too buttery, teak wood, silky suede. — 4 years ago
Really lovely and super light. Berries and pepper. Accessible and balanced. Great value. — 5 years ago

Enjoyed at Cecconi’s in Dumbo. — 7 years ago
A good Zin for every occasion. Had it at the tasting room, left with a bottle, will be going back for more. Update: 2nd bottle, bumped up the rating. Liked it even more! Has a good balance to it, paired well with a crusted pork chop! — 7 years ago
Everything you asked for and more. — 7 years ago
Smooth combination of fruits--especially cherries--perfectly softened by the oak... and it continued to improve as opened up. Still one of my favorite WS. — 8 years ago
Zesty and light. Not your typical Chardonnay — 8 years ago
