One of my favorites from Turley... Smooth, with beautiful structure... Love the black pepper notes.. — 8 years ago

Heat off the nose, bramble, flowers and dust. Raspberry blueberry pie filling, five spice, chocolate. Very balanced, not pruny or over done — 9 years ago
Beautifully stunning salmon pink color. Bright, ripe strawberry on the nose with light floral hints. Easy, bright acidity leads to wonderful juicy flavors of cranberry, strawberry and sour cherry and notes of stony minerality. The finish is crisp and light with lingering acidity. So glad I found one!!! — 10 years ago
What an amazjng texture. Rhone throughout, wish there was more of this. — 10 years ago
Cali Zin with refinement. Very nice. Need to get more of this. — 11 years ago
Lemon, papaya, and pineapple. Nice and refreshing. Obviously less minerality than a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, but still extremely delicious. — 5 years ago
Wonderful - great to drink now but could still sit for a few years if you want something with stronger flavors. Dark berry flavor, sweet cigar vanilla oak. Low acid, medium tannins, well balanced. — 7 years ago
I love these Turley Zins from Howell Mountain...Lots of Black Pepper and jammy goodness... Must let this one breathe but opens up nicely. — 7 years ago
Turley made this wine from 1994-2010 and to me it was always the benchmark for the varietal during that era. The 13.9% alcohol was probably the lowest in Turley's lineup back in 2002. Their Charbono has always been a sneaky good ager and this is no exception. Probably already on a slow decline now I wouldn't hold on to these much longer. The Tofanelli family now keeps their own fruit. I'll have to try their version one of these days. — 8 years ago

As good as Zinfandels can get — 8 years ago
Disappeared real fast, intriguing nose, some dusty earth and zippy fruit, maybe even a small firework, light transparent ruby — 9 years ago
Beautiful BBQ wine. Obviously. What do you love about America? #turley #zinfandel — 10 years ago
First day closed. Second day beautiful. Third day still very drinkable. Do NOT pop n pour. Give it a long decant. — 10 years ago
A phenomenal wine. Just wish I had more! — 11 years ago

This is a fresh and lively wine composed of dark cherries, blackberries, all spice and menthol. It even has a slightly gamey character but not pronounced. Drink now or hold. — 4 years ago
