A nice little Pomerol. Nice combo of earth and ripe blackberries on the nose. Herbs, spices, and more berries on the palate. Soft tannins and a long finish. Definitely not the heavy-hitter I was looking for but it still packs a punch. — 10 years ago

Light gold, lemon, cream with a touch if brioche. Dry, good acidity, mellifluous fine fruit with a striking elegance. — 11 years ago

Sicilian sherry at twice the price. Haha, OK, in all seriousness actually rather interesting, but in a one dimensional way. Like if Wagner never progressed past the Tristan chord. If one follows the Archilochus/Berlin dichotomy, this is a hedgehog wine, it knows one big thing. And what is that thing? A big fat oxidative bone-dry botrysised citrus peel note buttressed by salinity. It's a fascinating note, but it's only one. Nice, but sometimes one wants a symphony, or at least a quartet. — 8 years ago
