It showcases pretty floral and cherry notes. Layers of black cherry, spice, and earth envelope the palate. The wine's juicy, cinnamony finish seals the deal. Only eight barrels were made. What a surprise, from the farthest back corner of the wine cellar. Too cold unfortunately, cloudy from suspended stuff. Nice dark color with orange edges of course. Still showing some fruit but not the high notes; sweetness in the finish. No off flavors or weirdness. More nose than most wines of any age I've had lately. Bought at Beltramo's for $9, way back when, probably during sabbatical at Stanford 1984. Very nice with burritos from Anna's, a scene sort of like the one at the end of Sideways. Big Time Somoma cab with all that you want in a Cali cab; big fruit, extremely smooth finish with not too much oak and tannin but very deep color and just a mouthful of WOW.
