2012 vintage. Quite structured, considering its age and price. Dark blackberry, black plum, cassis, dark chocolate, laurel, marjoram, clove, graphite, cedar. Lots of spice and firm tannins make for a burly expression of Merlot. — 7 years ago
Fruity and full bodied — 8 years ago
For my 1500th review here on delectable, here is a great red from Sonoma County.
Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim.
Strong fruity nose of black currants, blackberries, cherries, figs, licorice, cloves, spices, oak, vanilla, cinnamon, coffee, mocha, tobacco, light earth and black pepper.
Full bodied and bold with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with sweet plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, blackberries, blueberries, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and peppercorn.
Long finish with medium tannins and tart cherries.
This is a very nice Petite Sirah from Alexander Valley. Nicely balanced with nice complexity. Rich and extracted with a great mouth feel.
Could use a couple of years to mature, but I really enjoyed it as is. This is a big boy, with a teeth staining color.
Good by itself or with food like a fatty piece of steak on the grill. Needed 90 minutes to open up properly.
A blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Carignane and Syrah.

Really nice yummy blend. Full and jammy but still good price point. — 9 years ago
Last bottle of vintage. 48/29/23 blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignane. Inky dense purple, highly extracted. Whiff of rotten egg initially, dark cherry notes emerges later. Cola flavor with mint with length, chewy tannins in finish, light skin astringency. Needs time to open. Later black plum flavor emerges. Overall, soft, good old style Italo-California red. — 7 years ago
From vines planted in 1896. Amazingly youthful color and aroma. Red fruit, spice and earth in beautiful harmony. This is the kind of thing that really gets my rocks off. — 8 years ago
Loved this full red blend — 9 years ago
What a blast in flavour!! The taste lingers long enough to make you want another sip.
The color is deep burgundy.
The legs are slow snd long.
I'll be back for more of this beauty. — 9 years ago
Trentadue is known for their Alexander Valley reds, but winemaker Miro Tcholakov crafts a lovely Pinot Noir with grapes sourced from Marcucci Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. It showcases pretty floral and cherry notes. Layers of black cherry, spice, and earth envelope the palate. The wine's juicy, cinnamony finish seals the deal. Only eight barrels were made. This is a steal for $28. — 10 years ago
Very tasty Angelica wine! Made from Mission grape in a tawny port style. Delicious brown sugar finish. — 10 years ago
Super Tuscan with depth and dimension. Easy to drink and a little on the lighter side while still showing complexity of the 5 or 6 varietals blended together seamlessly. — 7 years ago
Opened up nicely. A great compliment to curry — 7 years ago
