A solid 95 pointer,
I agree with everything @Ron R had to say, except I would say semi ripe raspberry.
Not ripe raspberry, get it straight Ron!
Thanks for the juice@Martin G Rivard great stuff! — 9 years ago
06. Needs more time. This was the last vintage Truchot made, I guess. Sold a little bit to Weygandt. Great potential here. Awesome texture. — 10 years ago

Much better day 2. Red fruit, leather, fairly light bodied, dry and balanced but not too complex. — 5 years ago
The 2010 Léoville-Poyferré has a very intense bouquet with blackberry, briary cedar and light estuarine/seaweed aromas that are very well defined. Pure class. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, layers of pure black fruit laced with pencil lead and a pinch of white pepper. It fans out wonderfully towards the finish, a Saint-Julien demonstrating wonderful density and precision. What an outstanding wine, perhaps less flamboyant than other vintages, one that will last decades. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal. (Neal Martin, Vinous, April 2020)

This is a 100 % organic Syrah grown on decomposed granite hillsides in Saint Joseph, displaying violet, ripe black fruits with hint of dried blueberry, black pepper and vanilla. Slightly musky, dusty, med plus body with great acidity and med plus tannin. A wonderful Saint Joseph has depth, structure, and fruitiness. — 6 years ago
I had a bottle of this wine a while ago and it was spectacular: 94pts. The second, which I drank a few weeks ago, was very good, but not as good as the first one, but still pretty decent: 90 pts. On average 92. A fine claret by the owners of Cheval Blanc. — 8 years ago
A group of guys decided to meet up at our Wine Storage facility and bust out some unique bottles! Scores and notes to follow!
I have two of these courtesy of the man, the myth, the legend, @Martin G Rivard . WOW. Out of the 15+ wines that were opened tonight, this was easily in the top half, if not near the top 5. Intoxicating nose. Cork was basically black. Blueberry compote and blackberry preserves on the nose. Vanilla and plum finish. Hands down the best mixed black wine I've tasted to date. Martin, THANK YOU! — 8 years ago

Oak and spice aromas. Lots of oak. Darker red fruit and some black, lots of oak spice on the palate. Way too young right now. — 6 years ago
Beautifully balanced Bordeaux. Complex, smooth, leather with a nice long finish. — 8 years ago
Full of rich juicy cherries and currants with hint of vanilla. Very modern in style with soft tannin. Super approachable Bordeaux wine. — 9 years ago
Super fruity aromatics. Rich, chocolate covered strawberries, tropical — 10 years ago

Medium(+) intensity aromas of black fruit (plum, cherry and prune) with secondary aromas of oak (cedar, smoke and dark chocolate) and just beginning to show some tertiary aromas and flavors of tobacco leaf and prunes. The wine has medium(+) acidity, medium(+) fine grained textural tannins and medium(+) body. The finish is medium (+) and while slightly grippy, those tannins are ripe and it’s that structure which will give it the ability to age in bottle for another 5/7 years. There is enough fruit and defined aromas and flavors to balance the acidity and the tannins which want to be the protagonista of this wine. A solid Claret. #saintestephe #bordeaux #grandvindebordeaux #cabernet #cabernetsauvignon #merlot and just 5% #petitverdot — 5 years ago
