A fun wine with a nose of funky earth, black fruit, tar, leather. A deep ruby color, deeper than 72% Sangiovese would lead you to believe, the other 28% is Merlot. The wine drinks nicely displaying good acidity and a very silky, long-lasting tannic structure: an excellent food wine. — 13 years ago
