One of my favorite reistlings! Smooth and not too sweet, when I open a bottle I tend to drink the whole bottle! — 4 years ago

Cherry, berry, plum with a little oak and light tannins. Good stuff from WA state. It’s been a while since I’ve had this one and it’s good to be reunited. — 9 months ago
This is a cross between smoked blackberry pie, barbecue brisket with Sweet Baby Ray's sauce, and Lay's barbecue potato chips. The front of this wine is very opulent, very rounded and full bodied mouthfeel. Lots of smoked blackberry pie with graham cracker crust immediately in the front. The middle is where it goes a little darker. Smoky, ashy, meaty. Still finishes with some astringency. I think the consensus is that this one might be a slightly over the hill, and I would probably agree with that. However, really enjoyable wine that really would have gone well with an herbed pork or tenderloin. — 5 years ago
Not too sweet, nice slightly dry finish. — 5 years ago
Not a “Bordeaux guy” but that may be because I don’t/can’t get my hands on the real stuff. This was pretty revelatory. More floral and delicate and sensuous than I could’ve imagined for a broad category our server called “cigar-box.” — 6 years ago
Balanced smooth and easy in the palette — 7 months ago
After Thorne shotfire barossa shiraz which was round, very oaky and lacking a bit of acid, I wanted another expression of the same varietal from the same region, but with more zing to it.
Boy this one is zingy!
The nose is showing blackberry, black pepper, a tiny soy sauce note along with an eucalyptus thing. This is very inviting and quite complex! The palate shows a massive acid drive, extremely powerful, but not overpowering at all. A big and bright blackberry note shines through and through, some width, some matter on the sides, a silky mouthfeel that turns into a great tannic wall in the rear with a strong grip and a drying effect that continues till the very end. The finish is all about blackberry and a reminiscence of that eucalyptus /mentholy note that could be felt on the nose. The finish is long and the after taste of blackberry keeps on for almost a minute. Great take on Australian Shiraz, without the artificial, sometimes overwhelming oak treatment. I like it very much. Two hands deserve a high five! — 10 months ago
Tried several bottles, all great! Founded by Cody and Marque Wright, yes that family of the great Ken Wright Pinot’s very nice small production Pinot, 1700 cases, sourced from 8 vineyards. Ruby, purple hues with aromas of blue and red fruits with an array of spices. On the palate youthful flavors of cherry and fresh strawberry, licorice notes with elegant spice. Fine tannins, long ending with fruit and tangy spice and mineral notes. Great now but a few years will bring out more of the wines complexity. — 4 years ago

In Dublin hotel dinner brought by Hsing. Well made new world Aussie Shiraz with fruity well balanced nose of red fruits and cherry. Silky smooth texture for this style and long finish. — 6 years ago
I feel that this is probably the best Pinot Noir producer out of the finger lakes although the competition is finally a good one. The nose has a wonderful aroma of currant a plum with undertones of spice including nutmeg and mulling spices. The palate is gorgeously light and elegant but still somewhat juicy at the same time. Flavors of plum, sour cherry and baking spice along with wonderfully balance acidity. The finish is soft and elegant with juicy fruit notes of lingering acidity. Wow... a great pairing for roasted pork. — 7 years ago

Pale. Lychee and petrol nose. Lots of apricot on the palate. High-minus acidity. Love it. Best when freshly open and chilled. Neither air nor warming to room temp does it favors. — 5 months ago
