WOW!, nice job Tim the one maker and for Ron attending to the backyard . — 8 years ago
Pale to mid crimson. Palate showing sweet cherry and plum fruit with spicy oak. Delicious now with short term cellaring potential. Proving once again how suitable Adelaide Hills is for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. (Also does great cool climate Syrah. ) — 9 years ago

17/20 — 9 years ago

Quite nice and balanced though remains a big, heavy wine! Happy to have some of lying down in my cellar as well. @Tim Bouchard — 9 years ago

Classic Chinon: Wet dog fur (brettanomyces) and fresh-cut green bell peppers (pyrazines). Finishes tart and dry. "You drink it and you squint. It's not fun. Needs food." - Tim Gaiser.
I agree except for the part about it not being fun :) — 10 years ago
1982 vintage. Wonderful peppery and herbal aroma, great acidity still and dried fruit flavors. Great wine. With Tim O'Rourke and other friends. At Ripple. — 11 years ago

With Tim as my Sous Chef, together we made an amazing Valentine's dinner. Grass-fed filet mignon, sautéed Bok Choy, and steamed artichokes. Paired with a couple treasures from my cellar. 1998 Le Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf du Pape (lost its fruit 😔), but then we opened a 1997 Stag's Leap Cabernet Sauvignon-wow!! Beautifully aged, silky tannins, balanced acidity, lush berry fruit and a lovely finish. Boy are we spoiled! P. S. I only paid $35.95 for it back in 2001! — 11 years ago
Deep ruby, toasty oaky dark red fruits, dry, supple tannins. Full bodied bur with a lean elegance that is improved by drinking the other half of the bottle two days after opening. So worth decanting to really enjoy its subtleties… — 11 years ago
