Bruised apple,!beeswax, petrol cheese rind and tiger lilly on nose, palate is unctuous and spicy, woth honey accents and high acid resembling riesling with age. What a nice surprise this wine turned into. I Bought it only because it was marked down to under $7 and if it was bad I was going to use it for cooking. Full bodied, with blackberry, plum, black pepper and this meaty, dry, smooth finish. Needless to say I bought a couple more bottles. — 9 years ago

Now this was very impressive coming from a great vintage. Candied orange peel and dried rose pedals. Tight as a tiger and such a long lasting finish! Opened up tremendously over the course of the night. A bit of tar and cranberry at the beginning and just softened into a work of art. — 9 years ago
