Heavy fruit n' s**t. Yum — 10 years ago
This lovely Carmenere was quite seductive. It was reinforced with a touch of petit Verdo and resulted in a black ink color. It is full and rich body and nose;-) the nose is tempting and complex with layers of green pepper, cherries, prunes, black current, chocolate and licorice. The body is big and bold, full of fruits and solid tannins, the finish is long and dry and this one clearly needs more cellaring time. My score 88+, drink 2016-2022 — 10 years ago

Very soft entry to a fairly notes oak presence. Very good Cabernet. Mendozas legacy. — 9 years ago
Malt, licorice, and coriander on the nose, creamy round mouthfeel. Malt and licorice dominate the flavor profile, with less coriander than I recall from previous bottles. A bit thin in body. Cigar is an Arturo Fuente Reserva Xtra Viejo Anejo. Fantastic draw with rich leather and deep cognac complexity evident from the aged wrapper. Nice spice on the aftertaste. Cigar is a 9.7. — 9 years ago
I am loving this Verdejo but I'm puzzled about why it is so golden. It's not that old, there appears to be no oak or sugar, and it's not tannic (all would darken wine). Also, everyone who has reviewed it has called it straw colored (normal for Verdejo). I guess I don't care that much though - lemon, grass, grapefruit and tartness countered by silky smooth richness. Love it. — 10 years ago

Great at 9.99 price point — 10 years ago
My favorite Spanish wine. Lots of heat and power yet still perfectly balanced. Really proves that Ribera can produce world class wines not named Pingus. Cheers to Carlos de la Fuente, el bodegero. — 11 years ago
Classic Rioja Viña Muriel Gran Reserva! Well balanced, red fruits and crianza aromas typical of the winemaker. Elegant and complex... — 12 years ago
