A fantastic full-bodied red. A mix of Grenache, Tempranillo, and Syrah. — 12 years ago
This limited production Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Syrah showcases the unique growing region that is the Columbia Valley. Dark fruit, graphite and smoke. This is a big wine. Very big. — 10 years ago
2002 vintage. Fine, fading bubbles. This is what imagine Champagne tasted like as a child. Like, what Thurston Howell III would pour at the yacht club. — 11 years ago

The second bottle at Searsucker in Vegas. I know I get repetitive when I start in on the value and variety of Spanish wines in general and Rioja in particular but..here we go again. All the terms like "leather/deep blackberry/spice/road tar" and on and on don't convey the great nose and immediate depth and appeal of this terrific Rioja. I'd definitely just say that drinking this with hanger steak and grilled vegetables made an already good meal great. Highly recommended by the entire table and they're not nearly as pretentious and snobby as I am. "Oh Thurston..where's that third bottle you ordered?" — 10 years ago
