Great wine. Will definitely buy again — 5 years ago
A savory juicy textured herbal food pairing champ. Like cooking sous-vide with an immersion circulator, what was once a geeky oddity has found a permanent home on our table. Not a universal solution, but really the right tool for the job in certain situations. Like pan seared halibut with fennel or spring vegetable risotto. — 6 years ago
Good zin! Yummy! — 7 years ago
I love this wine. I love this wine because it exists all the way at the 'painstakingly clean and precise' end of the skin-contact spectrum. Don't get me wrong, I love the super-natty wild and wooly and of the spectrum too. But this. This is so purely and exactly what it sets out to be. And I love it. — 7 years ago
To me it is a little more sweet than I'm used to for Sonoma County Zin, tastes a bit more like Lodi. If $10, a steal. If $15, maybe just ok. — 8 years ago

Balance blend of oak and fruit — 5 years ago
WOW at first pour this was incredibly smooth. After 2 hours this tastes like one of the best cabs I’ve ever had. Dark red, tart raspberries, cinnamon, spice box, cherry early but subsided over the decant, clove, pine tree, chocolate early, french oak intensified over the hours. — 6 years ago
Very good nose of dark red fruit, nice balanced cab. Big , robust, and very good hint of dark raspberry. Good finish of plum with nice tannins! — 8 years ago
Really like the wine, by the lake on sunny day. Thank you Allison and Mike! — 9 years ago

Yum. Yum yum! — 10 years ago
This is listed as a SGM but technically since it is 35% Mourvedre is should be listed as a SMG. All this Mourvedre is the defining characteristic. Complex nose but an even more complex palate. Only 12 months in new oak keep the oak notes subtle allowing the complexity if the fruit to shine through. There is mouth filling fruit up front with a hint if green olive to keep it honest. The finish is so smooth I would describe it more as velvet than silk. This is so complex that I could go well with so many foods but so intriguing at the same time that I hesitate to insult it by pairing it with a meal. At 28$ a steal. — 11 years ago
Big, dark, leathery, bought from the vineyard — 5 years ago
Had to open another bottle as the tannic structure in the last one was so striking. Decanted for the bulk of the day as this was tight & tannic for several hours. The decant is the key as it is now a pleasure of smoky red fruit & light herbal quality. Will check back on these in a few years. Serious stuff. — 8 years ago

We had the pleasure if meeting Kelby the winemaker when he was in town last summer. We really enjoyed the wines from the Finger Lakes. — 11 years ago

A bit dryer and thinner (tannins) than the usual three sticks Pinot. I liked it, but the Russian river is not my favorite — 4 years ago
