This is listed as a SGM but technically since it is 35% Mourvedre is should be listed as a SMG. All this Mourvedre is the defining characteristic. Complex nose but an even more complex palate. Only 12 months in new oak keep the oak notes subtle allowing the complexity if the fruit to shine through. There is mouth filling fruit up front with a hint if green olive to keep it honest. The finish is so smooth I would describe it more as velvet than silk. This is so complex that I could go well with so many foods but so intriguing at the same time that I hesitate to insult it by pairing it with a meal. At 28$ a steal. — 11 years ago
Very fruity. Black cherry and blackberry aromas and some notes of cinnamon, then balanced fruit and baking spices that tingle the tongue and linger on. What Goes with That: Fall Sweets Class, pairing: pumpkin pie. — 2 years ago

WOW at first pour this was incredibly smooth. After 2 hours this tastes like one of the best cabs I’ve ever had. Dark red, tart raspberries, cinnamon, spice box, cherry early but subsided over the decant, clove, pine tree, chocolate early, french oak intensified over the hours. — 7 years ago
To me it is a little more sweet than I'm used to for Sonoma County Zin, tastes a bit more like Lodi. If $10, a steal. If $15, maybe just ok. — 8 years ago
Really like the wine, by the lake on sunny day. Thank you Allison and Mike! — 9 years ago

Time for dessert!!!
The nose shows; white peach, apricots, dry pineapple, Bosc pear, dry tropical melons, marmalade, honey, orange citrus and blossoms, nuts, toffee, banana peel, burnt caramel, brown raw sugar, baguette crust, soft limestone minerals and floral spring flowers.
The body is thick, gluey and rich and has lots of residual sugar. White peach, apricots, dry pineapple, Bosc pear, dry tropical melons, marmalade, honey, orange citrus and blossoms, nuts, toffee, banana peel, burnt caramel, brown raw sugar, baguette crust, soft limestone minerals and spring flowers. The acidity is beautiful, thick and round. The finish is well balanced and elegant with polish on the finish for days.

Dark garnet color. Fresh red berry/cherry aromas with hints of minerals and fresh herbs. More sour cherry and cranberry on the palate with hints of earth, black tea, black licorice and rhubarb. Medium-plus body, soft texture and light tannins. Pretty good. Thanks for sharing, Keith S! — 9 months ago
