Very fruity. Black cherry and blackberry aromas and some notes of cinnamon, then balanced fruit and baking spices that tingle the tongue and linger on. What Goes with That: Fall Sweets Class, pairing: pumpkin pie. — 4 years ago
What a delightful red. Definitely fruity but singing acid keeps it very interesting. Very high qpr. — 7 years ago

I understand it to be a unique blend of Syrah and Pinot. — 12 years ago
@LangmeilWinery never seems to fail to deliver. We don't see a wide array of wines but they're definitely a fave. — 12 years ago
Cherry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, currant and oak. Light-bodied and soft tannins. — 5 years ago
Full mouth experience and a delight for a Pinot. Enjoyed at home with a Gouda and salami. Purchased on recommendation of store clerk. $18.99 per bottle. — 8 years ago

04’ Joseph Phelps Insignia . Thought it would be close to a pop & pour...NO! Thick tannins that dissipate nicely after a 45 minute decant. Full - bodied.
Color- Dark purple
Nose- Flowers , lavender
Palate- Blackberry , espresso, light oak, nicely integrated acidity.
WOW... Seamless/smooth.
Drinking- now with another 5+? great years. Could possibly be many more. Drinking so nicely, why wait. — 8 years ago
I can't pick a favorite Pinot Noir from @Chehalem Wines because they're all fantastic. — 11 years ago
Always Good these guys..... — 12 years ago
A little green in flavor (as in unripe), too acidic, but had some elements of tropical fruit, just not full and ripe. Has potential but not the best. — 2 years ago
Has the stuff to go the distance. — 4 years ago
Big, dark, leathery, bought from the vineyard — 7 years ago
Mid Gold in colour, looking way older than it actually is. Strong aromas of Apricot and to a lesser extent honeysuckle and White flowers. An unctuous flavoursome full bodied palate exhibiting great texture and intensity with the Apricot coming through. Finishes Dry. Delicious and different. Will purchase more. Muscat of Alexandria also known as Zibibbo in Sicily. — 8 years ago

It’s a 750. Little thick from the higher alcohol. — 8 years ago
Tight but really good — 9 years ago
To me it is a little more sweet than I'm used to for Sonoma County Zin, tastes a bit more like Lodi. If $10, a steal. If $15, maybe just ok. — 10 years ago
Reasonably priced, delicious and a great conversation starter.
It looks either like a bottle of olive oil or balsamic vinegar.
Either way- we bought a case! — 11 years ago
Smooth and extremely drinkable.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2020 Classico pours a garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Morello cherry, pomegranate, red flowers, old wood, and dry gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. My first time trying the 2020 vintage of Produttori’s Classico and it’s another really lovely, benchmark example of Barbaresco. Drink now through 2040. — 9 months ago
