A few days late in posting wines from the Wine Thief dinner last weekend. A nice selection of wines, most of which I’d never had before.
I think this ended up being my WOTN, though the Altagracia was right there with it. First time having a Bryant wine. So well polished and harmonious. No one thing stood out in this wine. In the words of @Mike R , this is a “smile wine”. Both powerful fruits alongside elegant flower and herbal/spices. 👌 — 8 years ago
Bought this at Wine Thief- juicy and not too acidic — 8 years ago
Really like this! Reminds me of the Cooper & Thief wine that I love so much, but at a much friendlier price for me. Deep color and nice spiciness. Plums, blackberries, and dark fruit...will be buying this again! — 8 years ago
...as if a wine thief was inserted into the barrel and delivered this gorgeous grape to my throat. Woody, balanced and smooth. Like a drive through the Muir Woods. — 9 years ago
I can't help but compare Pinot Noir Rosé to Sancerre. Anne Amie knocks this outta the park, angular yet so juicy. Also, don't tell-- I feel like a thief drinking Midnight Saignee at this price, but like Robin Hood, we'll pass it forward.... — 9 years ago

This showed much better than the ‘07 I had a few months ago. Cassis, blueberries, granite, graphite, licorice and a rhubarb finish. — 8 years ago

Guilty...I’ve never had anything from Forman before. I hear their longevity is lengthy and I can see why. This ‘12 has very delicious and focused energy all the way through. It wasn’t a fruit bomb, but it wasn’t overly tannic. Seemed right down the middle. Red, blue and black fruits alongside earthy herbs and a touch of cedar. Loved this. — 8 years ago

Possibly WOTN for me. Never had Altagracia or Araujo before. The nose on this made me swoon. Silky in every way. Plum, lavender, blueberry, on the palate with a savory and lean finish. Excellent! — 8 years ago
In Corneliano D'Alba Italy delicious white with peaches and a little honey. From Barrel Thief — 8 years ago

Delicious wine from a rare variety planted in a very unique site in the NorCal mountains. Not expecting the multitude of happy sensations received whilst imbibing. Shared with woman life partner. She seemed to enjoy as well. Spicy cove, tobacco, expired yet indelible black pepper ever present. 15 minutes in, dark fruit core begins to show. This wine is structured. Fierce, gripping tannin grabbed me like a thief in a dark alley. I really like the seriousness of this wine esp since it hails from a very unknown areas. It's nice right now but id like to see this wine in my glass in 3 years. 13.5%. — 9 years ago
