Leathery, baseball mitt in your dads shed, dark fruits. Phenomenal drinking experience! Silky yet tannins too. Just really really great! No wonder these guys beat the French back in the 70's. — 8 years ago
Oak fermented and I suspect some lees, which makes for a full body honey and white flower parfait style wine... — 8 years ago
Developing very nicely and starting to shed some of its baby fat. Beautiful fruit and tension. The star of the #longshadows 6 pack. #washington — 9 years ago

Consistent with my prior bottles. Nice aroma of black fruits, graphite, and some trace of vanilla. Medium bodied with tannin to shed. Silk and fine. Long finish. — 7 years ago
Final night in Australia and came across this gem - equally rivals those BC cab francs - yum! — 8 years ago
Reddish brown in the glass. Not quite opaque. Really good nose that exhibits graphite and briary red fruits. Good finish. Still has some tannin to shed tho. — 9 years ago
New Block 6, this is limey and matchstick dryness with some subtle new oak. Delicious. It has surpassed my love for the Vineyard Series Chardonnay. Unbelievably 2014 — 9 years ago
Great to meet Ellen Cavalli co-owner of Tilted Shed today and hear about their journey into cider making. Loved this cider! — 9 years ago

Lovely bottle that has shed its baby weight and come together nicely. Light and elegant. — 7 years ago
This is effing delicious. Day 1: Heady on the nose, layers of raspberry/strawberry confiture, mulberry, sous bois, lavender, roasted fig, sweet spices, potpourri and rocks. Palate is so dense, layer upon layer of berries, garrigue, spices, mocha, licorice, black minerals, and crushed flowers. Like drinking velvet, opulent and sexy, crazy long finish. Day 2: the textural richness of this wines grew with air. Even more richness and posh on the palate. Nose unraveled, aromas of animal, leather, savory earth, sarsaparilla, and rich umami accents popped up. On the palate the wine shed some of its alcoholic edge and began to express those rich notes of coffee, cocoa, leather, and the deep layers of fruit grew. A purely hedonistic experience for S. Rhône drinkers. — 7 years ago
Dense crimson. Slightly jammy nose. Black fruits. Medium-heavy cab of medium length. Lacks the finesse of cheribino/ xanadu et al. Fruit ladden front and mid palate. Dense tannic finish. Balanced enough and may be better in a few years but too jammy and not well enough integrated currently. D3 update: beautiful, seemless, jaminess gone. 94 (from 92-93) — 8 years ago
