Come sail your ships around me and burn your bridges down. — 11 years ago
Exceptional, one of the best wines we had the entire week. Touriga Nacional is not seen as a great grape by some in the Douro vinified on its own, but for my palate I think it has great potential in the US market as a single varietal. I love the Douro blends, by far the best wines I had on average we the blends. But I'm just saying.... As for the wine this had a velvety red robe color on the edges with a solid red core. The nose was so expressive, persistent but elegant. Very perfume like as it was by far the wine I spent the most time smelling. The palate was just as the nose was, elegant and persistent with red fruits like bing cherry, sweet tobacco, a touch of cream and a nice streak of earthy flavors sail to a long finish with very present but caressing tannins. Wish I could find some back home! — 12 years ago
The best part of waking up is Altenberg in your cup! Holy shit this wine is intense. It'll be too much for some, but for those who can handle it, there's unrivaled concentration. Like a massive, billowing golden sail ready to catch the wind and carry you to wherever you'd like to be. Heartening on this cold New York morning. — 10 years ago
Oregon winter ale. Limited seasonal. Needs to air. Better taste once it sits — 12 years ago

I suspect the vintage on this is 2014, not 1987. Just guessing. — 11 years ago
