Nice peppery, cranberry, oak start, with well rounded smooth finish. Great alternative and perhaps a bit better than Prisoner for less $$$. — 8 years ago
A solid cheaper option for fans of the prisoner — 9 years ago
Flavorful robust and distinctive. Softer overall than The Prisoner — 10 years ago
Awsome zin blend. Reminded me when I tried prisoner for the first time. A must drink. — 10 years ago
Close to Prisoner. — 7 years ago
I loved this bottle so much for the price that I did some research. It appears that Trader Joe's arranged for production of this wine, which was allegedly designed to be a copy cat of Orwin Swift's Prisoner. I must pick up more the next time I'm at TJ. — 8 years ago
Great prisoner like blend — 8 years ago
Much better than prisoner — 9 years ago
A kin to the prisoner. Very good, spicy — 10 years ago
Huge wine. For fans of nonsense like The Prisoner, but half the price and better. — 10 years ago
Figgy, nutty, jammy, and great. No Prisoner, but excellent for $20 less. — 12 years ago
Not sure it deserves the 95 points Parker bestowed on it, but a good Prisoner style blend nonetheless! — 8 years ago
A very rich and dense Napa County red wine that resembles many common labels like The Prisoner, or perhaps some of Orin Swift's current selections. Blackberries, blueberries, plums, and loads of baking spices. Not entirely complex but still delicious, nonetheless. — 8 years ago
Wonderful red blend. Poor man's Prisoner. — 9 years ago
Re runs of Baywatch. Hot dogs. Slip n Slides. Aint nothing wrong with celebrating and proudly admiring the gratuitous and guilty pleasures in life. This stuff is great! After all.....no reason to be a "prisoner" to over priced gunk. Nor regard something as a "special selection" when its mass produced to the tune of 45000 cases. Less than 15k made of this bad boy! And did I mention.... A glow in the dark label!? Genius! Mustache rides anyone? — 10 years ago
Excellent! Liked it more than Prisoner but this might be one of my favorites — 10 years ago
