The 2019 FMC, which comes from pure Chenin Blanc bush vines planted in 1974, has a subtle, precise bouquet of white flowers, peach skin, kumquat and light apricot scents, very pretty and charming. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. This builds in the mouth, fanning out wonderfully on the finish without losing an ounce of precision. Superb. Deep golden color, complex aromas, marmalade and peach pit, density of fruit flavors on the palate, some bitterness on the finish. This wine really shows the character of the vineyard. Interesting stuff but got overwhelmed by our Fried Boudin Fritters with Creole Mustard Sauce. — 6 years ago
Another great 2014 if a bit closed and needs 2 hours of air. Intensely mineral perfume. Citrus skin and oil. Peach, tangerine skin. Palate is elegant and a bit closed but with explosive citrus and a big serious mineral core. Very pure. Powerful and very concentrated. Deep. — 7 years ago
Takes all the guesswork out of measuring. Yeah it's lazy, but so good. — 9 years ago
Crisp. Passion Fruit. Honeydew. Grapefruit. White peach. Vanilla. Rose/floral. Green grass. Acidic freshness. Great sipper and super value. Fish tacos best friend. — 10 years ago
Slightly off-dry with nice acid to balance. White peach & nectarine all over the place. Good choice with sushi! — 10 years ago
Such an aromatic wine, evoking eucalyptus and beeswax, buzzing acidity of white peach and ruby red grapefruit on a long, long finish, just outstanding. — 12 years ago
Pale straw with green edges and aromas of citrus and tropical fruits with floral herb notes. On the palate juicy apricot, peach and grapefruit with lemon zest, classic New Zealand SB. Vivid acidity and spice complement this well balanced wine to a medium finish. — 3 years ago
Crisp and fruity Sauvignon Blanc. Has a lot more power than most SV’s from NZ. Decadent notes of lime, grapefruit and white peach balanced with sharp acidity and saline notes. Delicious. Pair with food for sure. — 3 years ago
Medium straw colour with a beautiful mousse. On the nose, lemon, pear, yeast and toast. Nice light body with perfect tiny bubbles that made the perlage super velvety in the mouth, a nice contrast to the crisp acidity. Notes of asian pear, white peach and apple, lemon and at times almost like ethanol and some toast with lingering hazelnut and ginger on the long finish. Not sure if our bottle was slightly off with the ethanol taste that came up once in a while. Will have to try another bottle. For science. — 3 years ago
Interesting wine. White tea was dominating for a bit, then the nose turned more floral. A lovely peach/melon undertone in the mouth. Couldn’t put the glass down. — 5 years ago
Medium gold; pronounced intensity aromas of musky peach, dried apricot, baked yellow apple, marmalade, tinned peach, honey, honeysuckle, ginger, saffron; sweet, medium acid, medium alcohol, full body, pronounced intensity flavors consistent with aromas; long finish, excellent complexity and concentration, outstanding — 5 years ago
An all time fav, apple, light peach, spatlese sweetness. No petrol notes. — 7 years ago
Really warm and wonderful. Alcohol on the nose, but tastes like a honey mess, with apricot and peach, a little lime for zest. Something with heft for spring or Indian summer — 8 years ago
Ripe Peach — 10 years ago
Lovely rich style. Vibrant and full of sweet peach, apricot, acacia blossom and perfume. Leesy and creamy too. Good full style, creamy, rich and full of ripe stoney fruit. Good length. 2014 don't take no prisoners! — 10 years ago
Half-bottle. The wine was medium amber in colour and offered orange peel, apple, honeycomb, caramel, smoke, spices, sherry and a mouldy note on the nose. On the palate the wine showed orange, peach, apple, cane sugar, caramel, smoke, spices, creamy honey, some coffee, a hint of chocolate, sherry, mild black tea and a mouldy note, paired with medium-plus acidity, a creamy honey mouthfeel and very good length. Judged by this half-bottle the wine has just passed its plateau and started its slow journey on the downward slope. A good, medium-bodied Sauternes with lots of botrytis character. Drink now. 89 — 11 years ago
Reminds me of something like Ecto Cooler or Hi-C, glowing orange stuff, strangled from the box and through a straw for every drop. Personality and expression and who cares if it's not particularly complex. Too many other reasons to enjoy.
Like leaping scents of exotic sour mango, salty peach, apricot, and sandalwood. A little bit of grip and texture and a whole lotta fun. — 3 years ago
Pale lemon with aromas of pronounced ripe stone and tropical fruits and floral notes wrapped in a frizzante. On the palate flavors of peach, apricot and mango with notes of white floral. Good balance with lively acidity, medium finish ending with ripe fruit character. Nice! — 3 years ago
As much as I try to pair reds w the Thanksgiving meal #Riesling always seems to work best…and helps w keeping the turkey moist and adding an extra element to the gravy base 😉
On its own appreciate it for its balance of sweetness w just enough acidity and salinity ~ minerality w a nod to slate and gunflint smoke ~ and an array of fruit ranging from quince and peach to lime and pineapple — 3 years ago
We had the 2009 Vintage on 2/16-18/20. Amazing wine with apricot, peach, apple and honey. Full bodied sweet wine. fabulous — 5 years ago
Riesling x Schiava hybrid. Gorgeous ripe peach with musk and white flowers. Zingy acidity with a silky body. — 6 years ago
Delicate, vibrant and expressive... This Sauv Blanc is everything...
Grapefruit, ripe pear, jasmine tea and white peach. Long finish ! Enjoyed by itself but could pair well with lots of foods! — 10 years ago
Not too sweet, great peach flavor! I would definitely buy this again! — 12 years ago

I could drink this shit forever, it has a sexy marriage of minerality and acidity. I’m getting green apple, white peach, some lime. Also the suggestion of pizza dough and something savory like mushroom (just me???) — 2 years ago
