To quote my two friends @Martin G Rivard and @Mike Rowe this is a bad ass wine eliciting smiles all around (and a great way to start 2017). Parker gave this a perfect score and it is a beauty. Decanting is a must at this point. It's been opening up over the last 4 hours and think it will continue to improve if I can sip more slowly lol. Slightly cloudy, and a bright purple in the glass. On the nose, cassis, vanilla and toast dominate. The sips are long and driven by fruit (blue and blackberries and cassis). Liquid silk in the mouth with sweet tannins and a surprisingly strong acidity. The finish is long. This is a total baby but I had to try it. Happy New Year to all my Delectable friends and especially to my fellow Wine Nerd Herd. I've always believed that sharing wine with friends is the greatest gift and this app has enabled me to do that with friends near and far and connect with some great people. May 2017 be a year of great health and happiness and may all our glasses be full! — 8 years ago

In an offert vintage. Still The Best ordinary Bourgogne Blanc on the market. Lovely floral aromas w/ ripe peaches, lime, lemon, jasmin, white pepper characteristics. Intense Yellow apples.
Dry, fresh with and integrated intense oak character that spices The Yellow fruited flavour profile.
Moderate alcohol.
Great length.
Would probably say Meursault in a blindtasting.

I tasted through several Corison Napa Valley Cabernets with legendary winemaker, Cathy Corison and fellow wine writers Elaine Brown and Meg Houston Maker. 2012 was the youngest vintage we sampled, as expected it's quite youthful and fresh. Saturating aromas of black cherries, steeped blackberries, violets, and incense. In the mouth the fruit is plump, as is typical of the 2012 vintage, but this element is nicely balanced. It has the structure and stuffing to age, with lovely hints of baking spice and black pepper on the finish. — 9 years ago

I'm told French people don't like spending over €15 on bubbles & this €16 bottle was given to us by a fellow wine friend in Paris & I have to say in retirement it will do me 👍

I really like it when I get recos from fellow oenophiles which turn out to be spot on - @Jörgen Lindström Carlvik, take a bow.

In the glass, the wine appears to be very extracted, which I find is a pleasant first indicator. The wine coats the glass, demanding your attention.

The nose is pristine, yet urgent. Cigar notes, cherries and dark fruits are perfectly integrated.

On the palette, I'm in raptures. This is a seamless example which is tight, compact and dense. It has a viscous mouthfeel, finishing with polished tannins and a touch of sweetness.

This is a brilliant effort, which is begging for bottle age. Thanks to Jorgen, I've finally found a Sangiovese which does not require me to sell my house to buy a bottle (you get my point).

Paired with my own Sheppards pie (made from scratch). Don't hate the player, hate the game! — 9 years ago

Delicious but not your beginners' cab blend. My first sip felt gritty, but let breathe a few minutes and then it pops. Hints of strawberry, grilled bell pepper, and earth. Light tannin but mouth popping acidity. Great cab franc blend! The fruit in this value has excellent, albeit under appreciated pedigree with fruit from two of the best vineyards (Taptiel and Ciel du Chuvel) on Red Mountain, possibly the best unknown Cab region in the U.S. For those looking for an adventurous departure from ordinary cab savs, enjoy! — 10 years ago
