Close your eyes. Imagine cognac. Take a sip. What's this? A bourbon? Nay, an oh-so-yummy whiskey, says I. — 10 years ago
2009 vintage. Incredibly deep dark fruits, with great structure and finish. A keeper, but great now too. — 10 years ago

A really well balanced wine. 80% Tempranillo. The blending grapes really softened the total package. Keeper. — 8 years ago
This cab Franc slightly gamey and smokey. Pepper on the palate with balanced tannins. 2012 — 9 years ago
Lovely GMS -- has a vanilla note that will go well with the duck J ordered. — 9 years ago
This is a powerful deep Pinot that somehow reminds me of Oregon, even though it's from the Anderson Valley.
Decanted for 45 minutes and served slightly chilled.
Sour candied cherry, vanilla, spice and some earth on the mouth which is quickly followed by strawberry, sage and pepper. — 9 years ago
Whoa, the pale clear color doesn't really give away much as to what your about to taste in this. It's much more intense than what I initially perceived it may taste like. Faint at the nose as well. Greatly acidic and tart up front on the tongue. It soaks the palate with lemon peel, green apples, pink grapefruit and peaches. It finishes with stoney minerals and a nice touch of some spice. This is a keeper. — 10 years ago
This is divine. It's very subtle. I want to say 'silky' — 10 years ago

This 2015 Select Chardonnay has a great buttery taste. — 8 years ago
A spicy, pepper mill infused hedonists delight. Weighty and dense and deep garnet in the glass. Notable asphalt or tar profile with kirsch, red fruit compote and smoke. In the SQN family I'd say this is the crazy fun uncle. It's on the teetering edge of over the top and inappropriate....but in the end it delivers the kind of good times that you appreciate more and more for their reliable simplicity. — 9 years ago
Deep color. This is a big one. Intense flavor. Got to decant this one. Long finish. A keeper. — 10 years ago
Deep red with velvety cherry red raspberry very soft in taste

Much more body than a Loire cab franc, but not overpowering - well balanced with dark red fruit notes — 10 years ago
This is a Grenache rose. Creamy, pale rose in color, hints of strawberry — 11 years ago

Magnificent Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. Aromas and flavors of cherry cola, tobacco and earth. Lots of “Old World” organic qualities. Nice body and light long finish. — 7 years ago
