Some wines announce themselves with shouts and bombast. Others, like this exceptional Chardonnay speak softly, if you are not paying attention you could miss it. Jokes aside was shocked how good this Syrah is. Full bodied, chocolate covered in cherries (yes that way around) with a hint of cherries covered in chocolate mixed in with some plums (tastes like ripen in plum barrels?). Good intensity!
Goes well with spicy food , it stands it's ground in regards to density and volume. And taste. love it!

This was ridiculously good. Had it with our Chinese New Year dinner of chicken, duck, seafood, etc and it went well with everything. Full bodied, well integrated, just really rich and wonderful. Might be the best NZ wine I've ever had. — 9 years ago
