Wow and amazing.. — 3 years ago
Cherry pie, rhubarb pie, and fresh strawberry on the nose. The palate displays dark cherry, cooked strawberry, cedar, white pepper, and solid minerality. A big bodied but silky Pinot with medium minus tannins, medium plus alcohol, and high acid. — 5 years ago
Delicious. Rich caramel and honey. Smooth. Matured in American and European oak. Asks seasoned with sherry from Jerez. — 5 years ago
Excellent Wine. Subtle sweat and sour taste.. Very interesting. — 6 years ago
My favorite non-nitro stout. Flavor notes are perfect and well balanced. It’s what stouts of this variety should aspire to be — 7 years ago
See several previous Delectable notes on this wine and vintage. A pale crimson colour with tawny garnet shades. Aromatics of red fruits (strawberry) and Sous Bois on the nose. It may be pale in colour but carries a Medium plus palate intensity of good length. A very good 2nd wine from Bell Hill from the Canterbury district (just to the north of Christchurch) which deserves more recognition as a source of high quality Pinot Noir. Also referred to as the Waipara District. — 10 months ago
2/2023. A great Napa Cab. Dark purple and full of flavor. Very nice on the palate. Wine Spectator #1 for 2022.
Paired very well with the the prime rib at Hall’s Chophouse. — 2 years ago
Deep rich, cherries, some underlying pepper. Dry, balanced tannins. A keeper, especially at this price. — 4 years ago

Excellent with red meat. We loved it — 6 years ago
For the money this is a gem, little sweet lacking some acidity but on a hot day I’d gladly drink this. — 7 years ago
Okay - fine. It’s a good, probably great wine. Overpriced? Yes. Opus is filled with pretentious douchbags? Double yes. But this is a well-made wine bridging a gap between Napa and Boudreaux. Dusty nose with menthol, earl grey tea, tobacco, flowers, cassis, and creamy dark fruits. It has a really nice velvety finish. — 7 years ago
Beautiful and even elegant, which is a descriptor that not many Pinot Meunier’s often get. Lovely aromatics, incredible texture, great balance. — a year ago
Very good cab from Columbia valley. Would buy again at smyrna beverage warehouse for $17. — 2 years ago
A fine wine with lots of fruit and mineral aspects. Can still age a bit — 4 years ago
Fruity and spicy — 5 years ago
Surprisingly, I kinda liked this despite my aversion to overly-hopped beers. The nose is a straight up hop-bomb - floral, citrusy, piney. The palate's also full-on, with heaps of hoppy bitterness, but balanced by malty sweetness and tropical fruit notes (passionfruit and mango for me). Finishes crisp and earthy. Not bad, but not my kind of beer (not an IPA fan basically). — 6 years ago
Hollis and I loved this. Smooth, easy to drink. — 6 years ago

Double decanted two nights before service. The 2013 Insignia pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears and some signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing but still quite youthful with notes of tart and ripe dark fruit: dense brambles, purple flowers, tobacco, vanilla and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. At 11 years of age, this remains tightly coiled and needs more time to open up and tell more of its story. All that being said, this is very good now…but to my palate, better after 2027 and through 2043. — 8 months ago
