Made my wife's favorite dinner for our anniversary and opened up this treasure to accompany. Beginning to mature and drinking great currently. Nose is impeccably balanced with dark berry fruit and earthy tones. The palate opens up to blackberry, cherry, spice and a touch of smoke. Fine tannins lead the lingering finish that sticks around forever. Dinner was homemade fettuccini with fresh tomato sauce with garlic, capers and white wine along side grilled Italian sausage from our local butcher. — 8 years ago
An unusually warm April night calls for grilled steak, which calls for delicious Cabernet Franc. 08 Les Picasses doesn't disappoint. Dark fruit, firm tannins, bright acid and that signature Chinon minerality matched perfectly with Butcher @ Larder dry-aged porterhouse. #winning — 9 years ago

It was a Gamay smackdown tonight. This won. Butcher shop on the nose, but beautiful color and taste. — 10 years ago
Took a bit to open up- but it was classic! Dried herbs, butcher shop & a hint of garrigue. — 11 years ago
Incredible wine. Minerals that seemed to give a texture in the mouth. Sweet and paired with a charcuterie board at the Butcher Shop in Boston. — 11 years ago
Bad day wine to make it all go away. Butcher and Grocer. — 7 years ago
If you got it now is the time. Right at peek. Still great fruit, asid, & stones but full of mushroom, sweatty leather, butcher shop floor, & dirt. The tanmins are soft and pushed back behind everything else but still there. To me this is what I want when I lay wine down. — 8 years ago
Dirty and earthy! Very smooth and full-bodied, screams for liver from the Greek butcher next door :) — 9 years ago
B&b butcher shop. Great wine. Not too heavy. Good for steak and fish. — 10 years ago

Better than excellent at the Butcher in Tokyo area. — 10 years ago
I smelled this wine and went "whooaaa!" Talk about taking a trip to the butcher. Meaty and game on the nose tight out of bottle, turns to funky tomato and mint while keeping the game. Acidity hits you hard first sip, really holds the lighter body of this Syrah. Bright fruit, strawberry and hints of blueberry. The best is that you get a light body Syrah that finishes with peppercorn spice! And I mean big spice! Boom, bam, kapow! This is everything I want in a fantastic food wine. — 10 years ago
Absolutely spectacular Chard. Enveloped the tongue, had a silky, velvety finish, had a nose that reminded me of a little butcher and cheese shop in Chianti. Amazing finish. One of the better Chards I've had. — 11 years ago
Light and refreshing, very good wine. $44 at butcher and the boar for my bday — 11 years ago
