Textbook red burgundy. Mushrooms, barnyard, floral, and a nice cherry note. Good concentration. — 8 years ago
Got 5 of these super cheap from Last Bottle about a year ago. I have always loved Alsace Gewurz. It’s the wine I turn to when I want something just for me and fuck everyone else. This one is textbook, with musky pear and lychee nut aromas. Off-dry with decent acids. Bit of minerality in mid palate. Great value. — 8 years ago

Textbook... cedar, gravel, red fruit, cardamom, incense. Great finesse and silky tannins. Drinking great now, for sure an overlooked vintage. — 6 years ago
Textbook Northern Rhône Syrah. Delicious. Brambly fruit, smoked meat, and violets. — 7 years ago
Northern Rhône Syrah that has all of the textbook qualities of the region. Dark Berry Fruit flavors are in the background. Earth, black pepper, salami, black olive with a hint of violet. Long and funky on the finish with some “barnyard notes.” Really well made and great if you like this style of wine. — 8 years ago
Textbook. Raspberry, saddle leather. A sappy quality that suggests both Cru Bojo and N. Rhône. Dark and ripe. First-rate. #mercurey #pinotnoir #cotechalonnaise — 8 years ago
Could drink all day. Textbook lemony chalkiness. — 8 years ago

Great golden roundness and firm acidic backbone. Will age 3-5 and improve. Textbook for $20. — 10 years ago
Just cracked opened the case, which was purchased en premieur from the winery. AG nailed this note, too. Needs lots of air, but exhibits a textbook Bdx expression. Fresh coffee roast notes, co-mingle with black fruits. This has another 20 years of runway ahead of it as the tannins are robust. This will further improve with more cellaring. — 8 years ago
Textbook. Good though unremarkable, — 8 years ago
Spicy dry restaurant $50 Favorite wine of the night. — 9 years ago
Incredible, but I must say that this needs more time!
On the nose, blueberries, blackberries, and the textbook Cos Indian spice signature.
Palette is toasty, with ripe tannins. Beautiful weight and sensuality, with pristine acidity. It's immature, and therefore needs a lot of breathing space, if you pop the cork now. A super effort, with an excellent trajectory. — 9 years ago

Lean, but creamy, with sweet pear and soft lemon taking the lead. No sharp edges, easy-drinking with a textbook flavor profile. — 5 years ago
