2022 Etna Rosso santo spirito: light dark soil, very loose and sandy. lighter cherry and fruitier nose, on the palate, cherry, heavy minerals. Strong tannins. Very popular wine. Very deep vines. — 6 months ago

From two old vine sites in Vertus, this has been one of my favorites for more than a decade. The vintage, 2009 is on the back label. It is fermented in large, old wood. While this wine has no dosage it has the ripeness to achieve balance. A big Chassagne mouthfeel and a long chalky finish! — 12 years ago
