Opened and decanted 2.5 hours in advance of our inaugural Aglianco Osso Buco wine dinner here at the Gotham
Facing off against a range of Aglianco from Unti in Sonoma, Leonetti in WA and Galardi 2007 in Campania
The 2010 Galardi was the most dense and as with the 2007, the fruit was minimal. Instead the flavor profile is herbs, green olives and incredible savory notes. It worked incredibly well with the osso buco and needed the richness to shine. This wine still had a bit of hard edges and could use more bottle age IMO — 7 months ago
Deep currant red; smoke on the nose with blueberry and spice; ripe palate with time has become lush with a pastille quality and ripe, finishing tannins. This evolved substantially over two hours open. — 3 years ago
Very smooth blend. Not too acidic. Not sweet. — 5 years ago
2016 vintage, very reliable fun wine for the budget. Easy drinking yet flavorful. — 6 years ago

Light lime and pear with wet stone and a touch of salt. — 4 months ago
I’m not usually a fan of GSM’s and wines that are too fruit forward. All that said age has helped mellow this out a tad. I think the dark fruit was still huge yet today I was in the mood. — 5 months ago
Medium ruby in color; black cherries, plums, and cedar on the nose; medium plus acidity; medium tannins, but smooth; tastes like blackberries, cherries, and a hint of bell pepper witha long finish. Not as complex as I would like, but pretty good. — 2 years ago

Decant the 22 for 3-4 hours prior to drinking if you can, and you won’t be disappointed! — 6 months ago
One of America’s best, in winemaker Maggie Harrison. Great to find this on a list with a bit of age. There’s such a beguiling combination of savory earth, mineral and rich cherry fruit flavors, with killer concentration, a plush texture and serious length. Top notch Domestic Pinot for sure. — 7 months ago

"Odedi"
Reddish in color with medium intensity.
Red fruits on the nose with light wood and chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, strawberries, cherries, light oak, spices, chocolates, licorice, tobacco leaf, earth, coffee and peppercorn.
Spicy on the long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a really young Rhone style red blend from Paso Robles. Fruit forward with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel. Spicy and tangy.
Good right out of the bottle and better with after 90 minutes of airtime. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Well balanced and easy drinking. Good by itself or with food.
A blend of 40% Mourvedre, 28% Grenache, 22% Syrah, 4% Vaccarese, 3% Counoise and 3% Cinsault.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
