Perhaps my favorite red wine produced in the contiguous south of Italy. This vintage is all over the place with camphor, creosote, tar, tobacco. I have to meet these people this year. Whoa, I don't think the current ratings do this one any justice. Jammy on the nose. Oak, blackberry, black cherry, pepper and spice. Once this warms up it turns into a pleasant wine with a full body finish that's quite tannic with sufficient acidity. I'd definitely drink this again. — 9 years ago

2013 Vintage. Pale lemon color. Very distinctive aroma of hay, citrus flowers and some stony minerality, all echoed on the palate. 60% Godelo, 40% Treixadura. Quirky and dynamic, perhaps too much for new wine lovers, but more experienced palates will be attracted to this high personality wine. — 10 years ago
