SUPER delicious dry rosé Lambrusco. Ridiculously gulpable. Nose and palate like blood orange, raspberry, and strawberry cream hard candy, pure, riverbed stone minerality, and a slight bit of lager-y yeastiness. Fantastic with a margherita pizza. Screaming acid, light and delicately framed but with great texture from a fine bead of moderate-intensity bubbles. Like adult soda. This will be in my rotation a lot this summer, I'm sure. — 9 years ago

It's pizza night at the VBH, so that means pizza wine. Margherita means Sangiovese, and Silvio's Rosso is my favorite unoaked version. #pizzawine — 10 years ago
Yellow gold color on the core.fresh yellow apple, minerality(not striking minerality but it blended well with fruity aroma), hint of almond, lemon on the nose. Med body, high acid, med intensity, well balanced fruit sugar, acidity and minerality comes together. Ripen yellow apple, yellow peach flavor with long finish of minerality. Drunk with mozzarella di bufala, margherita cooked in vesuvio thing. Food, glass, versatile wine. Complex and delicious. 14%(!) abv — 10 years ago

A nice Brunello on our first evening in Rome. A nice palate of cherry and lightly toasted oak with a great burst of acidity to accompany the margherita pizza on the way! It's great to be back in Italy! — 8 years ago
