Pepper, anise and clove on the nose. Berry stems and leaves, touch of cinnamon, cherry bark, and thinner citrus finish. A tweener that straddles the juicier pinot noirs and more lithe darker reds. This used to be the territory stalked and owned by great Merlot and its blends, but since its excommunication, this is the replacement crowd pleaser. Strong contender for your weeknight wine. — 6 years ago

2010 Vintage. Same notes as prior post, liked it a bit more. Only Tensley will have this fruit after buying the vineyard of half clone 7 and half clone 877. — 7 years ago
Monster wine, floral notes, loads of black fruit, long long finish — 4 years ago
Punctuating a row of B Day wines, up in Columbia county. No notes but juicy-black fruits, juicy mid palate. 80% Syrah, 20% petit Verdot. Balanced- not open knit like my only Cali Syrah reference point, Tensley. — 4 years ago

Delicious! A nice red blend from Tensley. Perfect for a Friday night. — 7 years ago
Black and blue fruit aromas and flavors, solid acidity, a bit of ABV (14.5%) shows in the longish finish, close to, if not fully mature, very good! — 10 months ago
This may be my favorite K wine to date. I double decanted this for about two hours and then consumed from bottle over the next three.
If I’m looking for a comparison, this reminded me of a Tensley Colson Ranch but with whole cluster/stem inclusion. Deep purple in the glass. There is a perfumed/fragrant nose of sweet fruit (rich and ripe black and blueberries) crusted with dark cocoa, then veers to the herbs de Provence and green/stemmy style. Absolutely gorgeous on the palate with a nervy mineral driven core of acidity. Violets, grilled dark fruits, mocha, and peppercorn covered black currant. Touch of salinity. Finish is really quite integrated already. This may be showing all its got at the moment (which is impressive) but I expect it will hang in this window another 3+yrs before the fruit/savory balance starts tipping toward mostly savory. Enjoy now! — 4 years ago
What kind of glass do you use for Tannat? Trying Pinot glass today🤷🏼♂️
Not much of a nose yet, give it an hour to open up. So smooth, wish there was more to go around.
Jeb 91 is ridiculous, guess there wasn’t enough Mega Purple for his liking I.E Tensley, Austin Hope — 6 years ago

[En magnum] Quite ripe Syrah/Grenache blend this vintage (15%), drinks well tonight, but better to drink young than to age. — 10 months ago
