Low Fruit, vines grown on volcanic soil. Almost has a beautiful ash or smoke quality emerging from it, this is a wine that should age for a while, tannins are nice and exposed. — 8 years ago

Deep purplish red. After an hour or so in the decanter this was still tight with green notes and a little black cherries. Finally on day two there were tons of 'Bevan' fruits, black and blue with tons of cinnamon and vanilla. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. This lost a little bit of weight in the mid palate but beefed up on day two. Tons of structure and dark cherries on day one with a slightly stoney and savory finish. Day two brought in the same characteristics as the nose, tons of blue and black fruits as well as cinnamon and vanilla. A touch of heat in the long finish that should dissipate with time. Should be in a sweet spot in about 7 years or so. Drink from 2018 till 2030. (94+) — 7 years ago

What a deal what a deal what a deal - I will put this napa cab up against wines twice it's price - 2 hour decant and it's sings -
Taste is incredible fruit - dark blue and red fruit - highly structured tannins with density and complexity galore - smell works but it will get more aromatic in 2-3 years - If drinking now as I did then please decant
This comes from Tench vineyards - same as the acclaimed bevan - well I say drink this at half the price then you tell me the difference
This is big bold beautiful and I am smiling
