Absolutely loved it. Complex but easy to drink. We had Volume 4. — 3 years ago
Clone from Loire valley. Very tasty. Supply and demand has brought this from $45 to $85 — 4 years ago
Ah, the Rocks at Milton-Freewater produce such remarkable and distinctive fruit. Morgan Lee’s take on the Stoney Vine Syrah is outstanding. Earthy, gamey, succulent, dark and full stone fruit (plum) that just keeps going. This is good for another 5 years I think. — 6 years ago

Just a special experience. The nose was powerful and dynamic evolving beautifully over 30 minutes. A smokey phase, a pine phase, and a strong floral phase. The palate was balanced and smooth. The fruit was dead but resembled fruit leather. Two bottles opened, one had grip left, the other didn't. #moutonrothschild #grandcruclassé #2ndgrowth #bordeaux #pauillac #1928 #ctbucklinwine — 7 years ago

I usually don't like pinos but this one is great with a balanced palate and a bit of depth — 10 years ago
Pop and pour. The density this has shown has just increased in the last few years. On the nose: spicy red fruit, a hint of savory licorice, lovely intensity. On the palate: lovely acidity and density. Fills the mouth with lovely red fruit, earthy spice and a touch of herbs. Attenuated tannin on the finish. Yum. — 3 years ago
Every time I drink a Two Shepherds wine I wish I had more in my cellar. A true “Rhône ranger” producing some of the best rhône-style wines in California. We all need to drink more Two Shepherds and support innovative winemakers who think about product quality before profit and ratings. Thanks to my dear friend Bruce for introducing me to Two Shepherds and supplying me! — 4 years ago

Drank after decanting for few hours. Lot of alcohol taste but good with the pork roast we had. This one has lost some of it's fruit. Still solid. — 6 years ago
About two hours in the decanter before drinking. Really started to open up and show its true self. Light rose petals, tar and whole lots of earth. Definitely fading but a nice surprise — 6 years ago
Amazing wine......drinking with Rob K who just got promoted (again) to Full Prof (yes the spelling of Full is correct).....at this rate he will be Dean of the Faculty by August. Wine is a wild mixture of petroleum, chocolate, toffee, blueberrys.......everlasting finish......for a 2002 this thing is hitting its prime right now — 7 years ago
Really love this one too!! Had for Thanksgiving in Virginia 😃 — 8 years ago
Aromas of cherry
Flavors of cherry with medium body, low tannins, high acidity — 3 years ago
Not much left on the nose - a little whiff of pomegranate. Super savory and saline notes on the palate. Interesting. — 4 years ago

Opened up after a few hrs in glass and had dark cherries but not sweet — 7 years ago
Just hitting its stride. Much more well integrated than I last tasted two years ago. — 8 years ago
Goes well with a nice pasta or salad in the afternoon with a mild taste and slight bite afterwards. — 8 years ago
Black cherry, lively acidity, not the quality of red fruits I remember from 2006 vintage — 10 years ago
