Tasted the 12, 14 and 15. This rating is for the 2014. Purchased in 2002 by the Chicago based Sauvage family and under the guidance of Ted Lemon (Littorai) and Claire Mulholland. Biodynamic and making great Pinot. Should be available in the USA with these connections. — 9 years ago
Sometimre you don't need to go all the way to Burgundy! I have alwYs appreciated what Ted lemon does with this vineyard, a perfect tension between full bodied fruit and taut minerality — 10 years ago

Full rich nose. Plummy and full fruit first but drops away pretty quick into present but mellow and balanced acid and fine tannin. Morish. Mclaren grapes but cool climate style.. — 11 years ago
2nd half of breaking the fast of dry January. Another Ted Lemon triumph - superb 'entry level' Sonoma pinot that wrapped a lamb fillet in velvet. — 11 years ago

My hats off to Ted @littoraiwine! We opened the 2004 Mays Canyon to kick off the 4th. With good friends, This mag was showing EXCEPTIONALLY this wasn't your typical Russian River Pinot. Plenty of lovely fruit, silk tannins, finesse, pure decadence!!! Wine of the night — 9 years ago

This review is for the 2007 Littorai Summa Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (not included in the available choices). I love this pinot, and it never disappoints. Medium-dark red color. The beautiful and unique Summa nose is present -sweet dark berry, menthol (some may say too much), minimal oak, and a bit of floral. The palate follows with a sweet dark cherry flavor, menthol, tea, vanilla, and forest floor. Substantial mid palate, good balance, velvet tannins, and a long finish. Ted Lemon has done a phenomenal job with this wine and it is a shame he no longer has access to these grapes. The Rivers Marie Summa Vineyard is just not the same. If you are lucky enough to have some Littorai Summa left in your collection, enjoy it while it lasts. — 11 years ago

Amazing wine for valentines day and first day out w/o baby. We were at marche in Ross and got to meet Jason, who happens to work w Ted and Heidi (and sat next to the Cobb family) — 12 years ago
I'm so happy to see that Ted's proprietary blend officially made it on delectable!!!!!! Congrats my friend!!!! Absolutely Killer proprietary blend. Everything I love: Lush fruit, big, bold and gorgeous on the palate. The nose explodes after a 2 hour decant. This is a Rockstar blend!!! I can't wait to see you what he does with his next venture. Ted and Ed Snider killed it with this one. I heard Ted may next be blending with a winery in Bordeaux or Rhone next????!!!!
Is that True Ted?????!!!!! Be sure to include me on that limited allocation!! @Ted Mandes @Cindy Mandes @Ed snider — 9 years ago
