Moving to a different AOC from last night's Chablis. Getting some air now, lightly pithy, this might be closed for business, TBD, notes forthcoming...
Delicate citrus rind with cooked steel-cut oats on the nose.
Palate has a warmed white grapefruit note, but without that zing of the citrus, possibly almond butter without the creaminess, this is a little mellow.
I stand by my earlier judgement of not-ready-yet status. — 7 years ago

Dried cherries, dark figs, bittersweet dates, tannic coffee, brown sugar, cinnamon. Bested the St. Bernardus 12 blind. Solid, absolutely. World's greatest? TBD. #craftbeer #belgianbeer #westvleteren #trappiste — 10 years ago

A hot Labor Day 2018 in the Berkshires today, it was 94°F outside, but 83°F in my kitchen as I've been making BBQ sauce today. Now it's time for relaxing.
Nose of wet slate and faint petrol, greenish pineapple and green apple. Palate is crisp and lively, lemon, fresh sage, orange peel and medium minerality. More acidity than I've generally noted at bottles in this price point for 2016. We'll see how air improves this as the bottle warms, TBD on note updates. — 7 years ago
Nice, soft, small bubbles. Medium dry. The judge of any bubbles is the next morning. Tbd. — 8 years ago
All around solid. A little sweeter than expected. Will need another bottle for a proper tasting, since distracted by a show. TBD. — 8 years ago

One of the best us cabs I've had. Very accessible now which makes me concerned that it won't age well TBD — 11 years ago

Tight on open. Early on was linear and focused. Then got round and flabby. Big fruit but restrained in alcohol. Tbd on this for the long haul. But their 1997 Merlot is rocking so you never know. — 7 years ago
Nose is a little toasty oak, blueberry juice, and blackberry.
Palate has oak-like cherry but very restrained on woody aspects, mid-season supermarket cherry, ripe plum, red raspberry, blackberry, TBD mineral, perfect acid levels!
I want to drink everything I have at this level, decanted for over one hour and this is absolutely perfect, nothing in the way of enjoyment. Pierrick Bouley is genius.
24hr Update: Nice giant (size-wise, not overpowering, the large sized berries have a more subtle flavor) blueberry flavor. Oak is more noticeable today, but not obtrusive to the red/blue fruits, a gentle compliment, perfect today. — 7 years ago
Great israeli cab. Potentially giving me a headache though.... tbd. — 8 years ago
15.2% alc.
To my palate this is on a slightly faster maturity track than the '09 enjoyed alongside.
A good personal reference point though as I'm planning to host an extensive 12+ vintage vertical tasting of QC Estate CS soon.
(if any fellow Delectable friends from the Bay Area are interested in attending please let me know. Price/place TBD). — 8 years ago

Hoping this wasn't expensive. Generally medium-bodied bright fruit up front, with a TBD mid (dinner interrupted), and a lively, tart finish. Seems to be opening into a rounder experience, with less punch at the end. Lovely, overall. — 7 years ago
